TEDxAsheville, a volunteer-organized independent annual conference, provides a platform for inspiration and connection by sharing great ideas, great performances and new technologies, with a special emphasis on our city and our region.
For the past two years TEDxAsheville was a 3-hour evening event, but in 2011, it grows up. This year it becomes an immersive, interactive half-day event moving to the Diana Wortham Theatre and offering extended breaks for networking, as well as the most inspiring people, performances, ideas and creativity its 50-member organizing team could find.
This year’s theme is ENGAGE! Learn more about our full slate of presenters here. Limited tickets are available here.

Hey Curious, as a TEDxAsheville organizer, I don't know what Kluger's fees are, bu tI can say TEDxAsheville doens't pay presenters to appear. Nor does the TED Conference.

We've featured presenters that ask as much as $20,000 per appearance, but they waived their fees for our event.

The appeal of having their video shown to the TED Conference is often enough to convince people to present at no charge.

It's wonderful how TED and the independent TEDx series are reviving the spirit of the Lyceum and Chautauqua movements of the 19th century in America. Does anyone know how much the fees are for speakers like Mr. Kluger?
