Create 72 Broadway
Asheville City Council is scheduled to set a public hearing on a hotel development moratorium at its Sept. 10 meeting.
The Asheville Planning & Zoning Commission approved a slightly revised plan that calls for a 138-room hotel, 37 condos and about 1,100 square feet of commercial space.
The Create 72 Broadway project was approved by the Asheville Downtown Commission at its July meeting.
The development will include six residential units reserved at affordable rental rates for "creatives," an art gallery and art pieces by local artists.
