DinetoBeKind2013

Chai Pani, Mela, West End Bakery, Vincenzo’s, Sunny Point, Storm, Mellow Mushroom and many, many more let you help animals–by eating delicious Asheville food this Tuesday.

Just eat breakfast, lunch, dinner or even takeout from a participting eatery, and 15 percent of your bill goes to Animal Compassion Network (ACN), the no-kill WNC rescue organization that’s found homes for over 10,000 animals in need. More about where your money goes:

All proceeds from Dine to be Kind will benefit ACN’s Betty Fund Spay/Neuter Program which was established in 2000 in honor of a two-year-old stray Golden Retriever mix. Betty gave birth to 18 puppies in just one year. It wasn’t until Animal Compassion Network became involved that this distressing cycle stopped. Betty’s last litter of eight pups was rescued from the mud underneath a trailer and found forever homes through ACN. Betty was also rescued, spayed, and placed with a loving family.

Animal Compassion Network  is Western North Carolina’s largest non-profit, safe-for-life animal welfare organization. It does great work, including spay-neuter assistance, pet food assistance, and shelter rescue.

Dine to be Kind is Tuesday. Check out the full restaurant listing on the flyer above.
