Since all people seem to want to talk about is the weather, and whether or not it will snow, I figure I’ll open it up for some real talk.

Restless Mama said things are nuts out there at the Ingles on Merrimon. Edgy Mama reported the same. Another mama friend of mine said half of east Asheville is mobbing the Ingles on Long Shoals.

I guess that when Bob Cobweb orders you to go buy your milk and bread, people heed the advice.

But I still dont’ think we’re going to get the monster storm hit.

I grew up in New England and after ten years in Ashvegas still find the local snow panics a real hoot! It’s western NC in the mountains, it snows here in the winter (sometimes,) and when it does snow (even a flake or two) everything shuts down since most roads aren’t plowed and most people here don’t know how to drive in bad weather even if they were cleared properly. So, I always keep a few days worth of food on hand this time of year. No big deal.

What’s that lead story on the news again? Oh, yeah, whatever…..

yeah, we were stuck having to go grocery shopping in the midst of a panic buy @ the merrimon ingles earlier today. lots of fun.

but we got milk! 🙂
