Special beer tasting on Tuesday at Hops & Vines to celebrate Big Butte Smoked Porter

There will be a special beer tasting from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday at Hops & Vines on Haywood Road in West Asheville. The Big Butte Smoked Porter created by Alex Buerckholtz will be in the spotlight.

Buerckholtz won Highland Brewing Co.’s second annual Highland Cup home brewing competition and will have his beer brewed and bottled by Highland. Buerckholtz is an experienced home brewer, and he owns Hops n Vines.

The beer tasting will run from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. There will be a raffle for Brewgrass tickets, too. Check it out.
