This is sweet news. The Talking Heads were a large part of the soundtrack of my life around the summer of 1986. Those were the days…

Rhino will release the much anticipated remasters of Talking Heads albums on in Dual Disk format in October. Dual Disks contain a regular CD on one side, and a Dolby 5.1 version on the other. The entire Talking Heads back catalogue will be available on Dual Disk at once: “Talking Heads 77”, “More Songs About Buildings and Food””, “Fear of Music”, “Remain in Light”, “Speaking in Tongues”, “Little Creatures”, “True Stories” and “Naked”.

Even further back in the day, Ashvegas found the Breakin’ movies, and their music, fascinating. Still do. Now there’s a new collection out. Awesome.

let me go on like I blister in the sun
let me go on big hands I know your the one

And yeah, my six-year-old knows all the words to “Love Shack.”

Will you put it on the shelf next to your Violent Femmes 20-year anniversary CD, or your old B-52s stuff?

Ah, 1986–Stop Making Sense. I had a graduation party at my apartment, and we danced to the Heads all night.

I’ll be buying this one with you, Ash.
