Friends,

My friend James Richards, Harvest Records, and I are producing an event to honor one of our favorite songwriters, Stephen Merritt, on Valentine’s Weekend 2010: A review of all 69 Love Songs by The Magnetic Fields, in order, on Saturday, February 13th. The songs will be covered by a total of 9 bands, several of which we already have lined up. We’ve decided to have some public auditions, so some of the fabulous local bands we don’t know can have a chance to participate.

Here’s the deal: 

69 Love Songs Auditions 

Sunday, November 1, from 5:00 to 7:00
Tuesday, November 3, from 6:00 to 9:00 

Auditions will be in the Pack Place Forum, downstairs off the Diana Wortham Theatre lobby.

We are asking bands to please prepare 2 songs from the show.
