Ol’ Roy came back to the mountains Thursday night to speak at West Henderson High School’s graduation. He was old friends with the famiily of the principal there, plus the class asked him to be their speaker.

Fresh off his Tar Heels’ national championship, he took them up on their request, and delivered a great address. Check out some samples here.

Roy is simply a class act. I don’t know what else to say. Like his mentor Dean Smith, he finds his greatest joy in teaching kids to stick to old fashioned ideals. He’s a winner, so he must know what he’s talking about.
