No comment on the part of the article calling Asheville a “hippie college town full of street buskers and hipster hookah bars”? Kind of expected better from Rolling Stone…need I point out that there is only one hookah bar? (Sorry barcade…you don’t count. Still trying to decipher exactly what kind of bar you are…) As for the after party….clearly a stunt on the Treasure Club’s part. Club Remix (Metropolis? Nashwa? 828? La cama?) was selling tickets for the actual after party weeks ago. Big Boi did show up…right after last call.
Not to mention, calling Asheville a “college town” doesn’t make sense. Yes, there is a college here, but it isn’t anywhere close to being the focus of our fair city.
Did anybody attend the “afterparty” over at the Treasure Club …
a colleague called the Treasure Club on Friday, and they said it had been cancelled.
Methinks Big Boi might not have known what he was getting into with the Treasure Club. Might have been a bit different than clubs in Atlanta.
Glad to hear it was a well-reviewed show.
