The Beer Guy has the story. I frackin’ love their album from last year, Raising Sand.

Robert Plant and Alison Krauss will bring their world tour to Asheville for a June 14 performance, the duo has announced.

Plant, frontman for recently-united Led Zeppelin, and Krauss, one of the biggest names in bluegrass, teamed to record the album “Raising Sand.” The show is listed on their Web site www.robertplantalisonkrauss.com and was among a string of concerts announced Wednesday by their publicity company. Tickets will probably go on sale March 3, with the prices likely to be $46, $56 $69, according to promoter AC Entertainment.

Krauss has regularly performed in Asheville but this is the first concert here by Plant.
