This story has the mention:

The Globe-News Center for the Performing Arts non-profit group has hired a new executive director.
Nancy Seliger, wife of state Sen. Kel Seliger, will replace Sherman Bass as the organization’s executive director on Monday.

“Nancy is dynamite,” said Bill Gilliland, president of the Globe-News Center’s board of directors. “We’re thrilled about working with her.”

The Globe-News Center non-profit group oversees the funding of the Globe-News Center’s construction and manages educational programs through its Window On a Wider World initiative.

“I’m excited about being in this position,” Seliger said. “I’m especially looking forward to expanding the Window on a Wider World programs.”

Bass has accepted a position as director of the Asheville Civic Center in Asheville, N.C. He begins his duties there on March 10.

Bass previously worked as the assistant manager of the Amarillo Civic Center for eight years.

“In North Carolina, I’ll be returning to facility management,” he said. “I’ve missed that job.”
