Studio 103 in Black Mountain is proud to present a selection of recent paintings by Asheville artist, Benjamin M Betsalel.  Artist Reception Friday September 24th from 5-8 pm.  Art, wine, snacks, music, FUN!   Exhibit runs through October 27th.

Betsalel’s fluid approach explores the relationship between attitude and outcome. Raining down on canvases, he fearlessly pushes his medium, capturing reality through images which occur.

Though Becca cancelled her solo show due to the economy and distance we are very lucky to have a few of her pieces represented this month!

Becca Midwood is an artist based in Austin, Tx who started her career quite successfully in L.A.   Her work has been featured on the cover of Juxtapoz Magazine and appeared in Nylon, Glue, the L.A. Times and many others.  She is a “painter of haunting outdoor portraits, is getting a reputation as the “female Basquiat.”…She has a number of serious collectors of her work, and Hollywood types such as Leonardo DiCaprio and Balthazar Getty have reportedly purchased her paintings.”  (Salon)  www.beccamidwood.com.
