The North Carolina Press Photographers Association is bringing its annual meeting to Asheville on March 18-20, and with it comes a great chance to see some of the judging and hear from three awesome young photojournalists. Erin Brethauer, a great Asheville Citizen-Times photographer herself, is a key organizer.

Erin tells me there will be contest judging at the Citizen-Times Friday (mostly closed to the public) and then at the Lex. Ave. Brewery on Saturday the 19th (open to the public) from 9-5pm.

Saturday night there will be a mini-presentation/panel discussion with the judges and then show a slideshow of the winner. A NCPPA member print gallery will be up at the Pack Place community gallery the week before and a print auction will be held some point.

The three newspaper photographers coming to town, and who will be at the panel discussion, are:

Lisa Krantz: www.lisakrantz.com

Preston Gannaway: www.prestongannaway.com

Corey Perrine: www.coreyperrine.com
