The Smilefest folks are cleaning out their closets just in time for the holidays. The festival is gone, having morphed into the Asheville Music Jamboree. So old Smilefest banners and stickers are being auctioned off to the highest bidder. Here’s the note I received:

Since we “retired” the festival, much of the decor….notably the stage banners and backdrops have been in storage. Now is your chance to capture a part of the magic
manifested and reminisce for a lifetime by owning the original backdrops which hung on the stages as great musicians like Keller Williams, Spearhead, Galactic, Yonder Mt String Band, Bela Fleck, Sam Bush, Larry Keel, Steve Kimock, Burning Spear, Jimmy Herring, Jorma Kaukonen, Umphreys McGee, Derek Trucks Band and dozens of others played while we listened, danced, laughed and loved in life-changing moments.
