From loyal reader Benjamin:

Snapped this photo of the crosswalk sign at Merrimon and 240 on Sunday evening, not sure if it was random or intentional, funny never-the-less.  I also noticed yesterday workers were blasting away at the UO sign at the back of the building and this morning it is completely gone.  Any idea what is up with that?  Thought what they had before looked kinda neat.

My guess with the UO sign is that it didn’t meet the UDO sign ordinance … I think part of the deal is that a "sign" can not be painted on the side of a building with no borders to define the signage area (that is why Office Depot had to change theirs), I do not know how a mural is allowed (I guess it is art).
