AB-Tech has had the most frustrating and inconsistent school cancellation decisions!
A few weeks ago there was no snow on the ground, the roads and sidewalks were completely clear. I went to school and classes were cancelled. Still don’t know why.
Yesterday, with nearly an inch already on the ground and the school website assuring me that classes were still happening, I fought traffic to get there on time, walked into class and was instantly told school was being cancelled for the rest of the day. And then we all had to fight that mess in the picture above. Took 30 minutes at least to travel one mile.
Those in charge of making these decisions surely knew the snow was forecast to continue throughout the day, and even if they didn’t there was already enough snow on the ground by 5 a.m. to cancel classes for the day, if they’re going by the prior week’s standard.
When you live 20 minutes away and try to keep a good attendance record, it really sucks when you just end up wasting your time and your gas just because whoever is in charge seems to be flipping a coin to decide these things.
