On the streets of Ashvegas: Closed pedestrian bridge to be reopened

Pedestrian bridge closed

Earlier this week, Asheville City Council voted to ask the N.C. Department of Transportation to reopen this closed pedestrian bridge, which crosses Interstate 240 at the Smoky Park Bridge. The vote came after a man trying to cross the highway on foot was struck by a vehicle and killed earlier this year.
