Press release here:

Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort announced today the opening of the 18,000-square-foot Mandara Spa will beDec. 3. The spa opening is the culmination of the resort’s $650 million expansion, creating the Southeast’s only world-class luxury resort destination.

Mandara Spa will integrate elements of Native American culture into Balinese-inspired treatments, bringing guests the best in therapeutic luxury. The Mandara brand emphasizes beauty, rejuvenation and exotic indulgence, aiming to enhance each guest’s resort experience by providing unparalleled opportunities for pampering.

“We are very excited to open Mandara Spa here at Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort, knowing guests who enjoy Mandara’s world-class treatments will leave the resort
both relaxed and exhilarated,” said Senior Vice President and General Manager
Brooks Robinson.

Visitors to the spa will find exotic and traditional offerings, including signature Cherokee-inspired treatments found only at Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort: the Lavender Healing Repair Facial and the Juniper Berry and Algae Detox, which use herbs that are revered for their healing properties in the Native American Pharmacopeia. Mandara will also offer specific treatments and packages for men, including the Mountain Escape for Men, promising a dose of euphoria with a traditional Deep Tissue Massage followed by an Elemis Skin IQ for Men Facial. Couples can also share the experience and indulge in services that include a massage for each while laying side by side, a bathing ritual in a large hydrotherapy bath, and champagne with chocolate treats.

“Mandara’s Balinese heritage is the essence of the brand and this marriage of cultures, Balinese and Native American has a wonderful synergy” said Bruce Pine, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of land-based spas, Steiner Spa Resorts. “Guests will notice the touches – the spirit of generosity out of which all our treatments are performed. We are very excited to offer our services at Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort and look forward to pampering its guests.”

The spa flow and experience is very important, so Mandara and Harrah’s worked together to ensure the spa inspires escape and is well away from the hustle and bustle of other areas. Guests for both spa and salon services check in at the main spa reception located on the second floor. Also on the second floor is the salon, which offers guests a complete hair and nail treatment menu, featuring a nail bar, pedicure thrones, and styling stations.

To enter the spa’s quiet zone, guests will take the spa elevator down to the first floor men’s and women’s changing rooms equipped with showers, amenities, lockers and robes before entering wet areas with sauna and Jacuzzi pool. Also featured is a co-ed relaxation lounge where guests can prepare for their treatments creek side, as well as two couple suites, complete with a large hydrotherapy bath that is shared by both the suites.
