New life for Old Europe

The Old Europe Cafe in downtown Asheville closed suddenly earlier this year, but there are already plans to instill some new life into the joint.

I’ve heard that the hot spot on Lexington will be reopened as a bistro/bar up front, with a listening room and lounge in the back.  I don’t know anything more about a timeline, a name or other details. If you got ’em, spill ’em.

Having a bar/music room opened in the Old Europe spot could add a hot new attraction close to another bar in the works. Just a few doors up, there’s still work to change the old T.S. Morrison store into the Lexington Avenue Brewery, a place that would offer craft beer and music.

Word downtown is all new ownership, new menu, new music. The new owners also have some history in Ashvegas.

Sounds great to me! The old location was cute and fun (in a way) but, will be sooo nice to be able to go and have some elbow room. Love the idea of music too. Will be superfab when ready.
