The Asheville Ale Trail website and smart phone app look like a work in progress, but here’s a quick description about the app from the site:

The Asheville Ale Trail is your ideal companion to discover the best Asheville has to offer, with current information on brew pubs, hotels, restaurants, activities, festivals and more. We’re developing the Ale Trail App to help you find seriously tucked-away breweries like Pisgah and enjoy popular local spots like The Wedge, all while sharing your experiences on the trail.

But that’s not all. The Ale Trail app will also help you find necessities like great food and stuff to do while you’re waiting for the pub to open.

And the best part? By using it you’ll score points and win free swag like shirts, hats and pint glasses.
