McCrory_2012Here’s the announcement from the Buncombe GOP about McCrory’s Inaugural Western N.C. Open House event in Asheville. The free event appears to have “sold out” and reached capacity:

Our new Republican Governor, Pat McCrory, will attend an Open House here in Western NC at 5pm on Monday, January 7, 2013 at The Crest Center and Pavillion in Asheville, NC. This is an open and free event, but you must get a ticket here.

WHEN: Monday, January 7, 2013 at 5:00pm
WHERE: The Crest Center & Pavillion, 22 Celebration Place in Asheville

It’s important to be sure that you have a ticket and to get there early, as Governor McCrory will only be with us for an hour and then off to another event. Robin Ramsey is providing tea and cookies and she also has music lined up for entertainment before the Governor arrives.

Given that a ticket is required for admission, it would be stunningly helpful if this announcement explained how to obtain one.

The Eventbrite ticket system is linked, but it’s been “sold out” for a bit now.

    What jaybird said.

Besides, Art Pope is going to be governor. This McCrory fellow will just be spending the next four years say “pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.”

Not to be pedantic, but to hell with it, he is the Governor-Elect; he has not yet been sworn in and won’t be by 7 January.
