We will be opening as a bar/music venue in mid march if everything goes according to schedule. The brewery component will be added as soon as the money comes together to get it. We are on super limited start-up funding right now. We are currently working to get the financing for a 7 barrel brewing system.

These guys are remodeling a space on Haywood Road across the street from the Get Down and next to Ritrovo. Last update here. Thanks to loyal reader Geoff for pointing me to the Altamont’s page on Facebook.

Altamont was the fictional name for Asheville in Thomas Wolfe's novels.

What's the deal with 2 new businesses in Asheville named 'Altamont?'

Let's hope neither the theater nor the brewery is using the Hell's Angels as their security! 🙂
