It looks like mixed martial arts is going to be a regular part of Asheville’s sports scene.

After a big event a couple of weeks ago, I see that Black Eye Entertainment is advertising another card of cage fights for Dec. 11 at The Warehouse Live in Arden. There’s also Black Eye Fitness, which appears to be a gym, and Black Eye Apparel. BlackEyePromotions.com is the central web presence.

I’ll look forward to learning more about these folks, and what their plans are. Follow @blackeyepros on the Twitter.

Speak for yourself Doug not for everyone else that may just happen to appreciate the sport! I think your probably the wannabe! Besides, what harm can it possibly do? Maybe it may bring a little excitement and money to the Asheville area ya think? Get real look at the real picture here and quit complaining and maybe you should not be so judgmental about something new to our area. Don't knock it till you try it. The only crap I see is what you wrote on this blog! Headline… MMA is a respected sport that has been around longer than middle school do your research there pal!

Keep that crap in Greenville. One of the things I like about Asheville is not seeing an abundance of Jersey Shore wannabes in Tapout and Ed Hardy attire roaming the streets.
I thought we all grew out of being entertained by MMA after middle school.
