With gritty guard Dominic James leading the way, Marquette took control down the stretch against Duke and showed it belongs among the nation’s elite.
James scored a season-high 25 points and led a late surge to help the 13th-ranked Golden Eagles beat No. 9 Duke 73-62 on Tuesday night for the championship of the CBE Classic at Kansas City, Mo.
