Langhorne Slim, and then the Drive By Truckers, rocked West Asheville this afternoon. The music came courtesy of Harvest Records, the awesome local record store on Haywood Road that hosted the live outdoor concert in honor of Record Store Day

This photo, shot by Bill Rhodes, shows an overview of the crowd that gathered. Bill said there were about 300 people there. Folks also piled into neighboring back yards and the Appalachia School of Holistic Herbalism to catch a glimpse. Thanks Bill!

You know, it’s pretty amazing what those guys out at Harvest have been able to accomplish in their first five years or so of business. I hope they’re able to pull together another Transfigurations fest this year!

Awesome free show by one of America’s best bands. I have seen the Truckers 4 or 5 times and this was honestly one of the most enjoyable sets I have seen out of them. Props to Harvest for having such an awesome event.
