cereus_bright_2014Paste Magazine and Starwood are teaming up to sponsor a show tonight by the Knoxville band Cereus Bright at the WXYZ Lounge in the Aloft Hotel in downtown Asheville. Show time tonight is 6:30 p.m.

Cereus Bright describes themselves at modern folk. Lead singer Evan Ford, bassist Matt Nelson and drummer Gideon Kline. From their press:

“This is Cereus Bright’s goal—drawing you in with beautiful melodies so they can move you with poetic yet direct lyrics. Connections with bands like the Avett Brothers, Fleet Foxes, and the Head and the Heart are apt comparisons and major compliments.” Check ’em out. A Paste magazine crew will be on hand to video, photo and promote.

The show is part of a live music series in Aloft hotels. The goal is to promote the hotels and area music.
