For those of you that aren’t aware, Kipper’s Trivia Night is redefining the notion of how a pub quiz should be run and played. Quiet, boring, and polite trivia nights are for losers. Kipper’s is for winners!
In my goal of making things more awesome week after week, the time has come for us to leave the nest of the New French Bar, and spread our wings at a new venue. Fred’s Parkside Pub. If you’re familiar with the bar you probably still call it Fred’s Speakeasy.
With more room for more teams, Kipper’s Totally Rad Trivia Night is only bound to get radder.
We’re also changing nights from Wednesday to Monday. Which is a big deal if you work a service industry job.
Facts:
1. Kipper’s Totally Rad Trivia Night is the absolute best trivia night in Asheville*
2. KTRTN focuses on pop culture from the 80’s onwards. That means movies, music, tv, comic books, video games, celebrity gossip, and a healthy dose of the weird, whacky, and profane.
3. If 80% of the images in the flier above are familiar or important to you, you’re already an all star and you’re bound to kick ass. If the flier scares and confuses you please don’t come. You’re bound to have a dumb time.
4. KTRTN is a fast paced onslaught of questions. We go through 6 rounds of 10 questions in a little over an hour and a half. Come with your wits about you and ready for battle.
5. I research and write all of my own questions. I’m not into regurgitating trivia from other sources. It’s 100% original and 100% awesome. Expect audio and visual rounds each week with the rare but amazing tasting round here and there. That’s right, tasting, sometimes your tongue has to do the guessing for you.
6. KTRTN is a loud ruckus affair. Do not come if you’re going to sit there quietly and get upset when another team verbally harasses you.
*This claim has not been supported by any sort of official examination, or voting, but ask any regular player and they will assure you, that it’s very much true.
