Lovely singer/song-writer Kellin Watson e-mailed Ashvegas recently, and we wanted to share. She apparently e-mailed after reading our post here.

So we’ll let Kellin have her say:

Hello!
well, I was updating my bio and trying to find stuff to include for my writer, and I found your article with the pictures. Cool pics. And thanks for the nice write ups. However I have to correct you on the word from the “beer guy”, I’ve never had any offers. In fact, I didn’t even come out with my album until three years ago. So, maybe he confused you with the actual word. Because I was chosen top five for the region and top 100 for the nation of top albums of the year on WNCW 88.7fm after the release of my first album in 2003. But no offers right out of the gate at all. If I had, trust me, I’d be taking them up. I’ve got some hopful things happening now, but nothing to talk about publicly yet. But I will keep people posted. Please don’t ever hesitate to ask me if you have any questions though. I appreciate your support!
It’s def. a little frustrating that I haven’t “broken through” yet, but it takes time, and I’d rather work up slowly, than sky rocket to success. I want to earn it. So anyway, just wanted to give you the word from the horses mouth. I’m currently trying to finish up my second full length album with Aaron Price at Echo Mountain studios. Bill Reynolds of Donna The Buffalo is in on it, as well as Craig Aspen of the Believers and Jordan McConnell, Jessee Havey, and Scott Senior of the Duhks, so it should be a pretty cool finished project.
