Nope Im native to here and Im not leaving thanks for being open minded to another opinion. Last time people said "move" to my people we ended in Oklahoma not this time.
There’s a more true local voice that is coming to a point, and yes the 15 year woodstock will be coming to a close and the "The Land of Apples" will be returned to its proper place.
Im not whinning Im stating fact, this town is overated along with its "Arts" community that wants tax $$$ but doesnt want to help the community.
Hey, Dweller! If you don’t like, leave it, but quit whining about "this overrated little town." It’s really irritating, all the people that live here that want to keep putting it down. It’s a big world. Find another place.
Lol Art scene in Asheville that is oxymoron. There is very little so called "Art" in this overated little town.
Once again, blackie gets hosed.
Jackson, Dweller,
If you don’t realize what this means to the arts scene around here… Sad.
No joke, but its something happening in Asheville so it has to be talked about.
I think its really great that younger, less shown artists are taking on the gallery/arts council establishment. This is a town with an artsy rep, yet most of the work in Blue Spiral, The Haen, and all the other big galleries downtown and in Biltmore don’t show the people who need the shows to build a name. Just cause its not another picture of Andie Macdowell doesn’t mean that people don’t care.
Apparently artists in Asheville care whether or not there is an effective arts council. . . .or not effective.
Does anybody actually care about this?
