AdvantageWest announces the application process for positions with the 2010-11 AdvantageGreen Energy Internships Program is now open. Nine internships and three fellowships are available under the program. Applicants must be either a graduate within the preceding three years of an accredited institution of higher education in the State of North Carolina, or be a permanent resident of North Carolina who has graduated from an accredited, out-of-state institution of higher education within the preceding three years.
These positions are 12-month commitments that start in October 2010 and pay a competitive stipend. The goal of the program is twofold: to help create pathways to meaningful employment in clean energy companies for students, and to help grow Western North Carolina’s clean energy economy.

· GO Energy Team Marketing Assistant – Green Opportunities, Asheville
· Project Manager (Sales Emphasis) – sgblue, Arden
· Residential Program Outreach Coordinator – WNC Green Building Council, Asheville
· Solar Energy System Design & Engineering Associate – FLS Energy, Asheville
· Sustainable Projects Assistant – Caldwell Co. Green Commission, Lenoir
