An indoor mushroom grow room is coming to Asheville, according to a story the Charlotte Observer:

There aren’t many indoor mushroom farms in North Carolina. Just Clover and Landis Gourmet Mushrooms in Landis. A third is getting ready to start near Asheville.

But there are plenty of outdoor mushroom growers. The N.C. Mushroom Growers Association lists 80, but there are many more who aren’t members. Most are sustainable-agriculture farmers who have put out shiitake logs on their land.
