Highland’s new hibiscus-flavored beer will be delayed

I blogged here about Highland Brewing Co.’s new beer, the Cattail Peak Wheat, which was just announced and expected to be released next week.

But I ran into Oscar Wong and The Beer Guy at Downtown After Five, and they told me the beer is being delayed because of some glitch involving the hibiscus flavoring. I didn’t catch the technical ins-and-outs about the state’s oversight of beer-making, but the glitch will put the beer release back several days.
