MADISON JUNIOR DERBY DIVAS MAKE THEIR DEBUT

The Madison Junior Derby Divas will put on a little friendly exhibition with the Little City Junior Rollers from Johnson City, TN at the Blue Ridge Rollergirl Hell Chere bout vs. The Texas Hell Marys during the half time Saturday July 31st at the Asheville Civic Center.

Madison Junior Derby Divas is an all female, flat-track, low-contact roller derby league specifically for girls between the ages of 12 and 17. This is their first season and they are being trained and encouraged by present Blue Ridge Rollergirls, WNC’s women’s roller derby team. Since February they have been learning the safety and rules of derby and are excited to make their first public appearance.

The MJDDs are official members of the JRDA. We are an organization that strives to create a safe, fun and positive environment – where girls can be athletic, self-expressive, self-empowered, obtain new friendships and increase self-confidence. Junior Roller Derby is a place where young girls learn team work, good values, discipline, interaction, and stewardship through the competitive sport of Flat Track Roller Derby!

Come on out and support them!
