Press release here. Sounds interesting:

ASHEVILLE – Life o’ Mike, a health care advocacy and education nonprofit, presents a Story Circle, 6-8 p.m. Aug. 28 at in Room 208 of the First Congregation United Church of Christ, 20 Oak St.

Story Circles offer participants the chance to tell their own stories of encounters with the U.S. health care system in a small-group setting.

The story-telling and discussion are respectful, and no one’s opinion is considered invalid.
Time will be allowed for discussion of ideas to help people with medical problems or disabilities here in the Western North Carolina community.

Admission is free, but contributions are welcome. Seating is limited, so reservations are suggested. E-mail [email protected] or call 243-6712.

About Life o’ Mike:
Life o’ Mike was founded in memory of Mike Danforth, who died April 1, 2008, because he didn’t have access to health care. Its mission is to find a way to offer all Americans access to quality health care.
