A graffiti day

I think I may have spotted the first encampment of Phish fans in Asheville. There are a group of probably six or eight camper/trailers parked on the concrete pad down near the railroad tracks in West Asheville. It’s the spot (shown here) where the graffiti artists have been allowed to do their thing. It’s either a group of Phish fans, or else they’re turning that spot into a new campground.

The Phish concert is June 9 at the Asheville Civic Center. Something like 7,000 tickets have been sold, but Phish concerts can draw an equal number of people just hanging out with the traveling party. This is the Phish reunion tour, after all.

Anybody know anyplace else where Phish fans are camping or crashing?

for starters, your post title is nonsense.
second, phish fans aren’t bums. campin’ out there are your starvin’ artists who can’t find anything better to do than spray paint a wall.
the phish tour is in NY right now, then jersey then mass before coming to asheville in a week. then knoxville. etc. a tour. which travels.
not ‘crash’ in a lot. most phish fans do have real jobs, and can afford a hotel.
and contribute to the economy of asheville. so r-e-s-p-e-c-t find out what it mean to me. sock i to me. sock it to me. sock it to me.
also. are you jealous that you cant go to the show?
    its going to be amazing.
just read it in the mntn xpress.
