Has a little Asheville baby boom hit town nine months after our horrid winter?

That’s the question I’m going to ask the Mission Hospital’s baby birthing folks, because I’m seeing a lot of strollers filled with new bundles of joy on the streets of Ashvegas. Have you noticed?

It was just about nine months ago that we had one of the snowiest winters in a long time here in Asheville. That meant a lot of power outages. That meant a lot of people stuck together in houses and apartments, and what are you gonna do? You’re gonna get it on.

In West Asheville, there has been a baby boom for 10 years.

Our second bundle of joy is due in a couple weeks! Can be attributed directly to a long power outage due to a storm. Ooops!
