This is kind of a lame challenge. What happened to a good old fashioned eating challenge? Or at least requiring the loser to wear the winner’s sports gear for a day?

From News Channel 7:

Mayor Knox White challenged Asheville’s Mayor all over the game of baseball.

White says if Greenville loses to Asheville, he will donate 20 tickets to the new Children’s Museum for deserving kids in the mountains.  If Asheville loses to Greenville, Mayor Bellamy agreed to donate 20 tickets to Greenville’s youth for the Biltmore Estate.

It is the first time a Greenville baseball team has made it into post season action in 12 years.

The series was slated to start Wednesday but was rained out.  They will try again Thursday night in Asheville starting at 7pm.
