(Asheville, NC) The Green Sage Coffeehouse and Café is excited to announce its rising success in becoming a great new venue where one can enjoy a cup of fair trade coffee or organic beer and munch on some organic/local food while listening to some fantastic singer songwriters. Music is booked from 7-9pm on Thursdays and 8-10pm on Fridays and Saturdays. There is no cover charge for these musical events!
The Green Sage mission is to create a sustainable business and amazing coffeehouse experience for the Asheville community they serve, as well as a respectful culture for their team members and environmental resources they employ. They extend that same philosophy to the music scene here in Asheville and have scheduled some amazing talent in the past couple of months since starting to host music.
Some of the musicians that have performed are Nikki Tally, Jay Brown, Johnson’s Crossroad, Ash Devine, The Leigh Glass Band, Utah Green, Paul Edelman, Dave Wendelin, Sean Foley, Sherri Lynn Mountain Band, Jon Hebert, Wind Motika, Dave Turner, Deb Ryder, Jason Pogue, Crys Mathews, Bob Giroux, Tom Bradbury, Greg Olsen, and others. These musicians range in style including blues, bluegrass, country, folk, jazz, and more.
Guests at The Green Sage will also hear a good deal of local and regional music throughout business hours while enjoying breakfast, lunch, dinner or just a snack. Musicians are encouraged to stop by with a CD to add to the growing local and regional music collection.

seeing great acts for free also means the venue isn’t paying that much. please support the musicians if you like what you hear by tipping them. gigs are nice, but getting paid fairly, or at least something at all, is better. 😉
