I ate there today. Really good food and the best fries/frites in town. Very reminiscent of the stellaer ones Cats-n-Dawgs used to serve.
I asked the people at Broadway Arts Building if they would rent that space to me about 10 years ago to reopen that theatre and the lady who answered the phone went off about how that space would never, ever be a theatre again! It was a crazy. That was a wonderful, community oriented space back then. Something this city still needs!
anyone remember the original Green Room in downtown Asheville? That was a fun dive performance hangout.
mary jane, i do. i won a poetry slam competition there once, back in the day.
i think it was called the Green Door.
