Graffiti vandals strike 10 Tunnel Road businesses

The Asheville Police Department is seeking help in identifying the person(s) responsible for a series of vandalisms that occurred along the Tunnel Road corridor on March 7.

Businesses, including the former Lone Star restaurant site, were painted by the vandals. Property owners at the site have cleaned up the property, but other vandalisms also occurred at 155 Tunnel Road, 165 Tunnel Road, 60 Tunnel Road, 4 S. Tunnel Road, 115 Tunnel Road, 38 Tunnel Road, 85 Tunnel Road, 117 Tunnel Road and 64 Tunnel Road.

Police urge anyone with information that could help in locating the person(s) responsible for Saturday’s incidents or any other cases of graffiti vandalism to call APD at (828) 252-1110 or CrimeStoppers at (828) 255-5050.

Hmmm…. Did the City of Asheville not commission a grafitti artist too work his magic on the underpass on Merrimon?
Do you suppose this new Tunnel rd artist is trying to drum up some business for himself while in the process of a beautification project of his own making?
