Get on board with Asheville’s Surprise Party Truck this Friday

Here’s the note from loyal reader Jim. Sounds like a truck load o’ crazy:

Hey Jason,

My name is Jim Konczyk and I’ve started reading your blog Ashvegas. It’s great, thanks for doing it! I just wanted to give you a heads up on an event we’re doing in downtown Asheville this Friday, July 2nd. It’s a sort of hybrid flash mob we’re calling “The Surprise Party Truck“.

It works like this: we are going to pack everyone into a box truck and jump out on cue to surprise random people on the street with their own “surprise party”. It will be complete with party hats, streamers noisemakers and cupcakes. After the surprise, we dissappear, leaving the “victim” laughing and confused.

Cool, right?

We are also looking for more participants interested in a fun crazy way to spend a Friday night, so if you know anyone interested…

I’ve seen their flyers all over where they’ve stuffed them in the front of newspaper boxes. (Jerk Marketing 101 grads involved, I suppose.)

I was at first confused.. isn’t "Surprise Party" also some kind of pyramid-scheme for selling dildo’s and sexxxy panties?

Won’t the folks in the back of that moving van be "surprised" when the door opens up and they find themselves .. well.. here.. http://www.surpriseparties.com/
