Several top country and Americana music acts will gather for a Gatlinburg benefit concert on Dec. 17 for a free, outdoor mini-festival that will raise money and awareness for victims of the devastating recent wildfires there. Zac Brown Band, Jim Lauderdale, Sam Bush, Rodney Crowell and many more are on the bill.

The fires, which started in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park just a couple of hours west of Asheville on Nov. 23, killed 14 people and destroyed more than 2,400 business, homes and buildings in the iconic tourist town and surroundings, including Pigeon Forge and the Dollywood amusement park. Earlier this week, officials charged two juveniles with arson in connection with the blaze, was was fueled by drought conditions and 80-mph winds a few days after it started. The fire has been called the worst in Tennessee’s history.

Dolly Parton is planning a Dec. 13 telethon that will feature a number of other top musical stars, including Chris Stapleton, Chris Young, Big & Rich, Michael W. Smith, Amy Grant, LoCash, Chris Janson and Montgomery Gentry.

Ole Smoky Distillery partnered with Yee Haw Brewing Company, Music City Roots and the Gatlinburg Convention and Visitors Bureau to host the Dec. 17 concert, dubbed the Mountain Tough benefit concert.

The concert will be held throughout the day on Saturday, Dec. 17, at 705 Parkway, Gatlinburg.
