Firestorm Cafe & Books, downtown’s cooperative community event space, announces an evening with local author Tricia Shapiro, Earth First! co-founder Mike Roselle and speakers from the coal fields of Virginia and West Virginia to release Tricia’s new book Mountain Justice: Homegrown Resistance To Mountain Top Removal For the Future of Us All and to discuss the the current direct action resistance to Mountain Top Removal Coal Mining. The event is a benefit for coalfield groups including Southern Appalachian Mountain Stewards and Climate Ground Zero and Firestorm will be donating 10% of the days sales to help stop MTR.
