Fire in West Asheville last night: Rock Haven Terrace Motel

Firefighters responded to the blaze around 11 p.m. at 1464 Patton Ave., and found flames shooting through the roof. Firefighters were able to put out the fire, which affected four apartments at the motel.

A plume of smoke could be seen from multiple points around the city.
