Only you would have such a story, Catnap. I don’t even need to know the details to start cracking up. I was riding my new bike, which I had gotten less than a month before, on my 10th birthday. I didn’t care about Elvis, although my mother did. I only had eyes for the Jackson 5. My mother had all Elvis’ stuff, even gospel, on vinyl AND 8-track. I have since been to Graceland. It’s quite a tacky place to have lived, but seems an appropriate place to have died. Peace out, Elvis!
I was eating dinner with Santa Claus when I heard that Elvis died. True story.
