Electric Testicle wins U.S. Air Guitar Championship Asheville regional

Last week, I gave away two tickets to the U.S. Air Guitar Championship regional held at the Orange Peel. My buddy, photog and designer Anthony Bellemare, won the tickets. He attended, and got some amazing photographs that you can at his web site, www.abellemare.com. Check ’em.

Electric Testicle won the Sunday night competition here in Asheville. Here’s some of the report, from the U.S. Air Guitar Championships web site:

Notable performances were given by TOMMY FRETLESS and STRYKER, who both showed they were not afraid to use the stage, the speakers, and the pit to shred their ways into the second round. THE FRO, making his first appearance of the season, leaped it to the second round by doing some superhuman shit. I can’t be any more specific than that.

Most surprising was the performance of wildcard and new regional champ ELECTRIC TESTICLE. He had better stage presence than any other male stripper I’ve ever seen. He finished the first round at the top of the heap, and took the second round with a couple 5.9’s and a 6 from Dixx, the self-described “black judge from nigeria, ‘you know, dog?'” He described ET’s six as “flawless,” in an interview after the show.
