Developing: WLOS’s Russ Bowen reports Canada automotive parts maker to move into Volvo plant

Sources say Linamar automotive parts company to take over Volvo plant more at 5pm
Linamar Corp is Canada’s second largest auto parts maker, according to Wikipedia. It has manufacturing plants around the world. The company employs more than 12,000 employees.
Hints of a big economic development announcement have been piling up for a couple of weeks and local elected officials have been talking about a potential deal and Buncombe County commissioners have moved to buy the now-vacant Volvo manufacturing plant in Asheville as part of a potential deal. More to come.
