Movie star Kelly McGillis is moving to somewhere near Asheville

From the Wilkes-Barre Times Leader, regarding (former) movie star Kelly McGillis. You remember her from movies such as The Witness and Top Gun. McGillis is recently (past couple of years) out as a lesbian.

At the moment, McGillis lives on a quiet street in Collingswood, N.J., a suburb of Cherry Hill. But she won’t be there for long. She recently put her house up for sale and intends to move to a log cabin in rural Asheville, N.C.

“I love South Jersey,” she says. “It’s so centrally located, and Collingswood is beautiful. But after being here three years, I want to go back to the country. I want a simpler, quieter life.

“It’s always been my dream to have a log cabin in North Carolina. I had one when I was married (to yacht broker Fred Tillman.) We had a log cabin in a little place called Weaverville, outside Asheville, but we never got to stay there because I got pregnant. And once you have kids, your life starts changing.

“But I’m 54, and if I don’t do it now, when will I do it?”

I heard that a friend of a friend who knows someone who cleans toilets at a Hotel that Jodie Foster stayed at once had a layover – no pun intended – at the Asheville Airport! That makes Asheville the hands down bestest place in the world to live! Why? Just because – Jesus loves you – the best;)

LOL… just another lesbian moving to Asheville!

Her career in movies seems to have died, so the mountains will be perfect for her at this stage of life.

I'm sure all the lesbos in Asheville are all a-twitter about this!
