Holy. Frackin. Hell.

Friday night’s episode of Battlestar Galactica showed a scene with Gaius Baltar in a fancy bed with Six and D’Anna, the two hawtest cylon babes in all the universe. It was a sweet Cylon sammich. Of course, D’Anna woke up from a nightmare about getting executed. But hey. That Gaius is one frackin’ smooth mother-effer.

As you’ll recall from last episode, D’Anna had Baltar strapped to a table and was torturing the shit out of him. But at the point when Gaius could no longer stand the pain, she stopped and found a connection with him. She fell in love with him while torturing him.

Perfect. Isn’t that the way love goes?

I asked my psychologist friend, Paul, if there’s a term for falling in love with someone whom you torture.

    His answer? "Marriage."

EM. The name for it is weird! But, I like it. The show that is.

For the last few years I have taken to giving a different name when asked at the local restaurant or deli. I have used Doody, as in Howdy Doody and Clarabell but lately it’s been ‘Baltar’.

    Good advice, Dad!

EM, is there such a word as "unmercilessly"? Don’t know. Identifying with your kidnapper is known as the Stockholm Syndrome, right?

    Yes, Sharon hawter than D’Anna.

What, you connect with someone while you’re torturing them unmercilessly? I think there’s a psychological term for falling for your torturer, but I’m not sure of the reverse. Though I guess it’s possible.

I think Sharon is hotter than D’Anna. I don’t find Gaius sexy at all, but he’s such an interesting character. I’d happily torture either Apollo or Hilo if that would lead to…well, no need to be graphic here, right? Particularly after your description of that horrific abuse case out in the hollers.

Damn, I’m chatty this morning. Guess I’d better start cleaning the pnav. More coffee first, though.

If my love life went in this direction I don’t think I’d mind a little torture.

(I’m never going to tell my computer to "execute" again.)
