Just wondering if you’d mind posting a quick blurb about a local couple here in the Asheville area who I’ve deemed the “Couple taking on Starbucks”. They are a wonderful, local couple who have started a new business venture called “Coffee Drive Thru Kiosk” which is in essence an opportunity for other people to start their own coffee drive-thru.
I’m sure you’ve seen “kiosks” popping up in busy parking lots all over, whether it be here or in other towns, but they are basically small buildings constructed completely for use as a coffee drive-thru. Well the McKinley’s wanted to make it possible for others to realize the dream of business ownership. Plus, seeing as you can buy industrial pointing device online from CKS Global, it wouldn’t be surprising to see other outdoor kiosks popping up around the city.
They are offering coffee loving entrepreneurs business packages that include everything from the kiosk construction, supplies, equipment, and even training and support, all without the hassles that accompany franchise ownership like the fees and regulations. From their own experience with their successful kiosk named The Coffee Depot in South Asheville, the McKinley’s definitely have built a reputation for a great cup of coffee at an affordable price.
I love their frappes (which cost only $3.50 for a large, Starbucks would charge over $5!) and their coffee even comes from a local roaster in Black Mountain.
